18 footers - 3 Buoy Handicap Series Heat 2 + Video

'AEG 3 Buoy Handicap Series 2012'    Simon Brown
Heat 2 of the AEG 3 Buoy Handicap Series had the lot yesterday on Sydney Harbour.......Funky conditions turned the race into 18 footer's version of Snakes and Ladders. Kenwood-Rabbitohs, Brett Van Munster, Kieryn Cowan, and Joel Castle proved they like 'Snakes and Ladders', positioning Kenwood-Rabbitohs so as to climb a ladder to the next wind shift.

Rag and Famish, Jack McCartney, David Witt, and Harry Bethwaite had a spectacular prang with De'Longhi-Rabbitohs under chutes on the first downhill run of the four lap windward / leeward, in one of puffy periods of the race. Simon Nearn's De'Longhi had its fin hacked up by the wing wire on Rag and Famish and could not continue.

Lumix, Jono Whitty, James Hozak, Aaron Pilot came over in second with Fisher and Paykel, Andrew Chapman completing the podium......Gotta Luv it 7 finished fourth sailing from scratch.

Pick the Podium was won by Denise Fisher who managed to pick two boats, Kenwood-Rabbitohs and Lumix, being the only entry to get two right yesterday. Denise wins the Barz Optics Floater sunnies and the SLAM cap and T plus this week’s Bragging Rights, congratulations Denise.

Can you Pick the Podium?....it's fun and free to enter. Simply log on to the website, register to play and have a crack!
