Martin Box Marine has been appointed to represent the Chaparral sports boat brand in Western Australia.
Having diligently built up a strong dealer network spaning Australia over the past two years; Western Australia was the last piece in the national puzzle for the iconic U.S boat builder. Established over 30 years ago Martin Box marine is one of Western Australia’s most respected and best known dealers with substantial facilities in Freemantle.
Chris Box has been working in the boat business alongside Martin for his entire working life and has now taken over the reins after Martins retirement late last year.
'I have been watching the rise and rise of Chaparral in Australia over the last two years and have always admired the brand,' says Chris Box. 'When Scott O’Hare from Chaparral Australia approached me, I benchmarked a number of competitors and realized that Chaparral was the way to go,' he adds.
'We have sold four boats already and have a number of quotes out at the moment so it has been go, go, go ever since!'
Based at the Freemantle sailing club, Chris intends to have a range of new Chaparrals available for inspection in the coming month.
'We welcome any existing Chaparral owner in Western Australia to contact us for parts and service and we are confident that when they and the general boating public see Chaparral’s latest designs, they will be hooked.'
Chaparral has been undertaking a huge R&D program with 30 new models released in the last three years; literally offering the world’s latest designs.
Reknowned for their innovation, quality and performance worldwide and with a reputation for salt water tough construction; the Chaparral range will be right at home in Western Australian waters.
'We are excited that Chris and his team are on board,' says O’Hare. 'We have constantly sought the best operators around the country and Chris fits that mantle perfectly. WA is an important market for us and we have been very conscious of creating a strong retail presence and complete after sales option for our existing owners, so this appointment means a lot to us.'
