Day 4 J24 world Championships - the Canadian Perspective

Day 4 was filled with heavy winds. Two races were run but that didn't hamper any national pride from any of the countries.

USA was flying their massive flag on the way out to the course and camp Canada was still going strong. Canadians from the east coast had planted a gin pole and hoisted their national flag around their tents in order to give Canadians a home base to find rum and good conversation throughout their stay abroad.

Special thanks go out to boat 'Out of the Blue' for their Canadian hospitality at Camp Canada.

Race committee ran 2 races and Brazil's Bruschetta was still in first

Heavy winds lead to some equipment failures and my boat suffered a jib halyard failure when it snapped during the first race and we had to send me up the mast to feed a new halyard through for the last race of the day, a difficult feat in the high winds and big swells.

Tomorrow is the last day of the championship and only 1 race will be help. stay tuned for the final results.

Sail-world signing out.
