MB’92 and Austal announce a strategic partnership to offer leading support services to the superyacht and high speed vessel markets. As part of this agreement, Austal will commence operations in MB’92’s Barcelona facility.

Austal, leading global shipbuilder and defence prime contractor, and Marina Barcelona 92 (MB’92), the largest shipyard in the Mediterranean specialising in the refit and repair of superyachts, have signed a strategic partnership agreement to offer leading support services to the superyacht and high speed vessel markets.

MB’92 and Austal believe the partnership will unlock significant value for both industries.

As part of this agreement, Austal will provide naval architecture, engineering, aluminium fabrication, welding, pipe work and consultancy at MB’92.

Henk Dreijer, Commercial Director of MB’92 comments: 'This partnership is an important step for MB’92 and forms part of the expansion plan of the shipyard. Austal has extensive naval architecture experience and is a leading builder of aluminium vessels for the private, commercial and defence sectors which will benefit our clients and will strengthen our position in the industry.'

Marina Barcelona 92 (MB’92) is a company dedicated to the yacht industry providing service-refit, repair and maintenance works to more than 70 super yachts per year with overall lengths from 35 up to 180 meters.
MB’92 is located in the port of Barcelona, a strategic stop-off point for the yachts on their journey between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
