2012 China Marina Conference, coming soon…
|
Nansha Marina in southern China is pleased to announce the hosting of the inaugural China Marina Conference from 10-11 October 2012. The conference, together with an accompanying boat show, is promoted as YachtCN (www.yachtcn.net). Nansha Marina is located in Guangdong Province and easily accessible from Hong Kong, Macao, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, all of which are served by international airports. The hinterland, commonly referred to as the Pearl River Delta, has been described by the Economist magazine as the ‘Workshop of the World’. One of the industries represented is boat manufacturing, and now there is a marina… Nansha Marina is a flagship development with expansive clubhouse, haulout services, and a drystack. As a ‘best in class’ showcase, it has attracted much attention, making it the ideal venue for the China Marina Conference. It is anticipated that the conference will attract marina developers, operators, and suppliers. The China Marina Conference, 10-11 October 2012, is the first of its kind for marina professionals in Southern China. More than 20 world leaders will share their knowledge and expertise in a wide range of topics covering the marina industry. Confirmed speakers include : • Mr Zheng Weihang, Chairman of the China Yacht Club Alliance (CYCA) • Mick Bettesworth, Chairman of the Global Marina Institute • Julian Goldie, Chairman of the UK Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) • Li Quanhai, Deputy Secretary-General of the Asian Sailing Federation • Andrew Chapman, Chairman of Australia’s Marina Industries Association (MIA) • Erwin Bamps , Chief Operating Officer at Gulf Craft, representing Arab Marine Industries Association (AMIA) The Conference topics are wide-ranging. They vary from marina operations and effective management in different countries, to marina construction and designs, from sharing the views on architectural perspectives of marina development in China, to marinas anchoring real estate values, etc. The Conference will be of a great interest not only to those directly involved with marinas, but also to ancillary yachting businesses and waterfront developers.
