At the Delta Lloyd Regatta, US Sailing Team Sperry Top-Sider athletes were competing in the final day of racing in Medemblik, The Netherlands. Top performance of the week came from Anne Haeger and Briana Provancha, who captured a silver medal in Women’s 470. Racing took place May 21-25 in the 10 Olympic and three Paralympic classes selected for the Rio 2016 Games.

2013 Delta Lloyd Regatta third day of racing got underway in Medemblik, Holland. Australian sailors have retaken the lead in two classes. The 470 men’s crew of Mathew Belcher and Will Ryan, and Laser sailor Tom Burton, both started the first day of finals racing in second overall, but a consistent day on the water saw the two Australian crews move back into the lead in their respective classes.

There could be some belching around the America's Cup table, in San Francisco before teams fully digest, and maybe sign-off the 37 recommendations served up by the America’s Cup Regatta Director, Iain Murray yesterday.
The recommendations came on the back of a fatal accident on the Swedish AC72, and triggered the commissioning of a six person panel, by event organisers.

At the Delta Lloyd Regatta in Medemblik, the Dutch teams made the most of day three. At the end of the day, a Dutch boat is in the top three of all classes at the exception of the 49er where Holland is not represented. Pieter Jan Postma in the Finn and the Sonar team of Udo Essel took it all in the three races sailed in freezing conditions. They are now in the lead.

Thursday’s show at the Finn World Masters La Rochelle was spoiled by too much wind. With the wind whistling through the rigging all morning, the sailors waited ashore under postponement for a final announcement at 14.30. By this time, the wind afloat had moderated to 14-16 knots and the first fleet was sent out.

Emirates Team New Zealand welcomes the finding of the committee reviewing the fatal incident involving the Artemis Racing AC72. The committee’s recommendations were released today in San Francisco.
Managing director Grant Dalton said the team supports the review committee’s recommendations in principle. 'They are prudent and reasonable,' he said.
