Jimbo are you bottling it? I was looking forward to sailing with you again mate. It's not all about the racing if you remember pal. It's about drinking coffee and eating bacon sandwiches with new and old friends alike. That what I love about these events. The ability to catch up with old fleet friends like Mr Bolland and take the piss out of his sailing attire. In many cases the sailing is secondary!

At 103kg currently, it's definitely not about the competitive sailing!!!
Just the usual issues Russ- time... Can't work out when I get across to pack up and get the stuff sorted, buy a trailer board etc.... Windguru will make the final decision. |

Just passed last year's online entry number for Oxford Blue this Saturday, GJW Direct SailJuice Winter Series Round 5
Oxford seeing if they can squeeze a few more boats in beyond the 120 limit Entry list looking really interesting, both from a class and sailor perspective

Looks brilliant, Simon!
We're going to have to change our entries on the day (unless you want me to email you direct Simon) as I'm going to be in the D-One and the Yoof will be out in his darling (Finn). |

Totally agree. I sometimes think that I prefer to be in and around sailing events than actually going sailing. However, I am almost indecently excited about sailing tomorrow already (after having had a coffee and a bacon sandwich).

Already up to a record breaking 116 boats for Sat @ Oxford, GJW Direct SailJuice Winter Series Round 5 Some good class clusters emerging, including 10 Contenders, 7 Blazes (+ 2 Halos) and 30 *eros, which almost warrant their own start, now that is an interesting proposition Still time to enter Edited by Simon Lovesey - 31 Dec 14 at 11:11am |

Doubt it... Best I'm hoping for a squall that blows the entire racing fleet flat, then the advantage of swift capsize recovery will come into play - conventional tactics, boat speed and colourful language aren't much use in this battle.
