Vodafone has arrived in Nouméa after two days of race, she is the fastest ship to end up the New Caledonia longest windward / leeward race.
Even if the weather conditions along the East coast were not favorable, she sailed down the west coast at more than 20 knots in 14 hours.
The skipper, Simon Hull, thrilled of his race, asked for 'more wind' to come back in 2018 and to end up the race in less than two days!
The first monohulls, Scallywag, Beau Geste and Ichi Ban are expected during the night and tomorrow.
Concerning New-Caledonian teams, Jessica Rabbit is the first to go trhough the Grand Passage, next to Ran Tan, then Birdies Furax and Moemiti, behind the monohulls Keel Bill, Eye Candy, BNC…
The first night was very tactic and decisive for results. The second night was more tonic with the wind blowing at more than 20 knots and today is more quiet.
Most of the crews are in a good mood but they are getting worried as there is no wind announced for the third upcoming night…
