Background:
Jack Binder, a master mariner and ship’s engineer, homebuilt Banyandah with his wife Judith. Launched in Sydney, Australia in 1973, a year later, with two infant sons, they embarked on a magical life encircling Earth in ever-increasing circles taking sixteen years to visit more than eighties countries.
Fast forward to 2007. After decades of landed life as boat builders and gathering grandchildren, Jack and Jude, by now married forty years, circumnavigate Australia aboard that very same craft.
Once back on dry land they write their first inspirational book, 'Two’s a Crew' detailing their adventurous journey.

'Practical Boat Bits and Tips', by Jude Binder:
Back in 1970, when the couple first began building Banyandah, they discovered that finding good ideas and ways to do boatie things was more difficult than actually doing the work. 'If we could see it, we could build it' says Jude today, and one book that they treasured was Alan Lucas’s 'Just Cruising'.
A lot of miles have slipped past since launching Banyandah in 1973. they honed their skills until they were competent enough to build vessels for others and be paid handsomely for their labours. For two decades they built quality cabinetry with smart joinery and lovely clear finishes.
Jude has been documenting the many very workable features of Banyandah and she has worked diligently to bring them to you in this very readable book.
