Annapolis Boat Show - the Jimmy Cornell seminars, 13/14 Oct

'Seminars by Jimmy Cornell and others'    .

If you are thinking of long distance cruising and are anywhere within reach of Annapolis, you won't want to miss the two-day Long Distance Cruising Seminar on Sunday 13 October and Monday 14 October 2013, at the Maritime Institute Conference Center, Linthicum, Maryland, USA.

While this has been set up by Jimmy Cornell as part of the preparations for his round world rally, Blue Planet Odyssey, it is a comprehensive syllabus, suitable for anyone with long ocean miles in their sights.

Among the speakers there are several specialists in their field and also sailors with many thousands of miles to their credit.

Jimmy Cornell himself is one of the speakers, an accomplished sailor and successful author. Jimmy has sailed 200,000 miles in all oceans of the world. He has completed three circumnavigations, including two voyages to Antarctica. Jimmy is now planning to transit the Northwest Passage in a new boat as part of the Blue Planet Odyssey. In the last three decades he has organised 20 transatlantic rallies, five round the world rallies and one round the world race. Read more

Lee Chesneau is another. Lee is a professional meteorologist with experiences on land and sea (with over 70,000 miles under his keel), retired naval officer, accomplished weather forecaster, vessel router, author and lecturer. Read more.
