Some of the world's cruising rallies happen spontaneously, as informal arrangements to talk daily by radio grow into a cohesive rally. Others are free, organised by a destination keen to attract yachts. Many are organised by profit-making companies. Yachts of any size are usually welcome.
Monaco-based Dahm International's Club Yachting Life Rally (CYLR) is the only one known to Sail-World which is organised exclusively for superyachts and their owners and friends.

As announced by Superyacht Times, the yacht broker Dahm International will celebrate the 25th edition of their traditional annual sailing event, the exclusive Club Yachting Life Rally, from 7 to 10 June 2012 with friends and clients around Menorca.
Dahm International agrees that the Club Yachting Life Cruising Rally is the only sailing event sponsored and organised by a superyacht broker with the idea of enriching the community life of yacht enthusiasts to indulge in their favourite hobby.

their family and friends are welcome to join the popular club event: as repeaters or for the first time. Dahm International also announces they will offer special CYLR packages for interested charter clients.
After a successful club sailing weekend around Ibiza in June 2011 - 120 guests on board 14 yachts up to 42 metres greatly enjoyed one exciting race day, relaxed cruising legs and a selected social programme.
The CYLR Jubilee Get-Together 2012 will see even more competition and racing legs. However, collective cruising as well as exceptional evening entertainments, this time in the peaceful surroundings of Menorca, will remain an important part of the event.
