Product of the Week: Mooring line tensioner

'Mooring line tensioner in action'    .
SwissTech is the source of our 'Product of the Week', a mooring line tensioner, introduced this year at the Dusseldorf Boat Show, BOOT.

An attempt to fasten a vessel on a mooring line can be quite entertaining for spectators on shore or on neighbouring yachts. The crew on board the arriving yacht pulls and yanks on the wet, slippery mooring line – but still the yacht is not fastened securely.

That is why SwissTech has developed the mooring line tensioner – a really clever system that makes it easy to haul the mooring line through. Fastening the yacht becomes simple!

The mooring line tensioner can be quickly attached and easily released by the crew on board. Your hands and the vessel stay clean – and winches can replace the effort by hand.

How it works:
Open the cover of the mooring line tensioner and insert the mooring line.
Under force the mooring line is jammed in the tensioner, and you can haul it through by hand or by a winch.
You can comfortably attach a new mooring line now.
Slightly pull the red line to release the mooring line tensioner

... And the vessel is secure.
