Cruising skill seminars for New Zealand sailors

'Passage Maker harness demonstration'    .
If you're anywhere near Auckland in New Zealand and want to upgrade your cruising skills, the Island Cruising Association (ICA) has two great cruising preparation seminars coming up in the near future.

Sailing your boat is just one of the many skills needed for successful passage-making.

These seminars cover everything that a sailing school doesn't!

ICA Cruising Preparation, February 19-20:
ICA's Cruising Preparation School is an ideal introduction to Cruising, covering everything from how to set your boat's systems up to cope with the rigors of cruising, to how to get the

best out of your communication systems. The course also covers how to prepare you and the crew.

You'll learn things you know you don't know, and more importantly, discover things you didn't know you didn't know.

The next course is the weekend of Feb 19th & 20th and is a full two days of intense seminar covering thirty-four separate subjects.

Each course is limited to just six couples so the information can be specific to your requirements and create a more one-on-one environment.

For a full program and other information including a booking form and costs please visit www.islandcruising.co.nz and

look under seminars on the left hand menu.

ICA Passage Maker Seminar- 2011 Feb 26th & 27th in Auckland:
This intensive 2 day weekend seminar is aimed specifically at the cruising sailor planning an Offshore Passage. There are twenty-two separate topics with nine specialist speakers and handout notes on each subject.

The next 2011 seminar is on the 26th and 27th of February and is held at the Marine Industry Association conference facility in Westhaven, Auckland.

Costs for the Seminar are $275 per couple and $200 per single and seats are limited.

For a full program and a registration form please visit www.islandcruising.co.nz and click Passage Maker under Seminars on the left hand menu..
