F18's, Olympic media and more
 | | Brouwer/Samama © Laurens Morel | The Globaltech F18 World Championship, the class's first Worlds ever contested in the USA. After the first day Carolijn Brouwer of Belgium leads the 118 boat fleet from 13 countries and five continents, while Darren Bundock (Bundy), her Australian life partner is 12th.
A lot of feedback on Richard Gladwell's article about the Olympics and the media. Our Kiwi editor says the Australian Sailing Team interaction with the media was a great example of just how to deliver value for the sport and the sponsors. He is much less complimentary of the NZ yachting organisation.
A quiet few days on the local scene but it's all happening at the Rolex San Francisco Big Boat series and the Dolphin Dragon Gold Cup.
