In Asia the item of the moment is the newly-located Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek. In England eyes are looking toward the Brewin Dolphin Commodores' Cup. And absolutely everywhere everyone is winding up for the Olympic Regatta at Weymouth which starts with the Finn class on 29 July - just eight days away.

Can the new Katsu deliver the goods in Phuket? Can Hong Kong get to the top of the podium in Cowes? And can Ben Ainslie write his name into the Olympic record books in Weymouth?

The opening day of the 2012 PWA Planet Win 365 Tenerife World Cup saw the sailors registering for the event in the morning, before the competition began shortly after lunch. By the end of the first day, 13 fantastic heats were completed.
