Further to our comments about event coverage (or lack of) at the beginning of this week, we now have the Quick Guide, aka Sailing Sponsorship Proposals 101. Event organisers please note - a short read, but important, and to the point.
Of course we are great believers in the internet here, but if you are looking for some quality print, get hold of a copy of YACHTstyle. You may not be able to afford all the boats, but they look good! And you'll definitely recognize the regattas. This used to be published by Edipresse in Hong Kong, but has just been acquired by new owners who say that their very first project is to make the ‘picture book' easier to find. Better distribution in other words. Next issue, June.
The Volvo boats are hitting 500nm days as they charge towards the equator. Remembering what it was like wandering around the bay in 2-3kts on board Camper in Sanya just a couple of weeks ago, it's hard to imagine! And they are worrying that the breeze might drop to a mere 10kts as the approach the Pacific Doldrums? Mmm... we've done plenty of sailing in 10kts of breeze, so not a lot of sympathy there!

15th Asian Sailing Championships: Nine medals for Hong Kong Florence de Changy,  The event gathered 275 sailors from 19 countries and 60 technical officials (including international jury, measurement controllers and race officers).
