Ancient art of yak fishing, BIA NSW holds show rates, VanDutch - wow!I am besotted with so many things this week - it's unsettling. Just 18 days before Christmas, I have discovered etsy.com (don't hate me for hooking you on this!) and am sourcing gifts for everybody, including myself, several times over. It's the trend. Online merchants are rubbing their hands with euphoria as PayPal, ebay and others predict record spends online.
Also on my dream 'Want List', the VanDutch 40, just arrived in Australia with a Dutch pedigree and performance that will impress. You won't resist it either and if your budgets stretches (and your wife/significant other is keen!) you could be recreating the elan of French Riviera on your waterway. Check it out for sheer jaw-drop factor.
Next on the list, all about 'yak fishing'. Thanks to Josh Holmes, this sports most avid proponent, for the insight and inspiration. I am taking the family to Tuross Head on the NSW south coast this year for a Griswald-kind-of-Christmas, and will be dragging that kayak out of storage and trying it for myself. My dad tells stories of dolphins prancing over the bow of his kayak while fishing in the shallows, so I am determined to experience that, and catch a haul for tailor or mullet for our dinner.
SO many stories this week, you will need a cuppa, or a G&T, to savour them.
Keep sending your own story leads and we will chase them.
Have a great lead up to Christmas.Jeni Bone
