While marine industry print media continues to suffer world-wide our own TetraMedia Marine Group of which MarineBusiness-World.com is a key part, has been growing well, wiith major feature articles with lots of embedded crash and burn video leading the way. We have our latest report card.

As I write this, a coterie of Aussies and delegates from around the world have descended on Louisville, Kentucky for the 21st IBEX show, the trade-only, hands-on showcase of the boat building and marine industry. One of our clients and long-time friend, Leigh Francis from All Marine Spares is on the ground for MarineBusiness-World.com and will file his report in a few days' time, so watch out for his observations from one of the world's largest gathering of industry.
METS too is another major calendar event, taking place in Amsterdam Nov 15-17. Organisers have ramped up this year's event with even more for yacht builders, naval architects, repair yards, distributors, dealers, wholesalers, captains, marina operators and equipment manufacturers from around the world.
That is one of our exclusive features this issue - how boat shows and trade events invest time, technology and large sums in their events each year to keep pace with consumer and exhibitor demands and compete, not just within the marine industry, but with all the commitments and distractions of modern life.
Whether you're a visitor or exhibitor, this feature is important reading, showing us the lengths and research boat show organisers will go to create compelling showcases for exhibitors.

Also this week, WE HAVE A WINNER! The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show Survey, covering visitor views, intentions and habits, has been processed and a winner drawn: He is Geoffrey Folliott of Brisbane and he and his wife Michelle (and two young children) are ecstatic! In the next few weeks, Geoffrey will come down to the Gold Coast to Sanctuary Cove to be presented with his prize package - the Zodiac Cadet RIB and Honda engine, the trip for two to Hayman Great Barrier Reef, as well as airfares and spending money, apparel from Shock & Oar, PFDs and EPIRB from RFD, shoes from Sperry, underwater film goggles from Active Out There and polarised sunglasses from Barz Optics. Thanks to all sponsors, Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and everybody who responded to this important survey. We will have a report on feedback and trends in a week or so, so stick around.
Lots of great product news and features this week, and more to come from every corner of the globe.
Have a great week!Jeni Bone, editor
