Ben Ainslie (Oman Air) is again making his mark on the Extreme 40 circuit, leading the fleet in Almeria, Spain.

Alex Thomson's Open 60 Hugo Boss is one of two international applications for the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht race to commence on Boxing Day in Sydney Australia.

La Charente-Maritime Bahia Transat 6.50 Leg 2, between Funchal (Madeira, Portugal) and Salvador (Bahia-Brazil) is almost underway while the Global Ocean Race leaders are nearing the equator.

In 'closer to home' news, 288 young sailors are set to compete at the RYA's Eric Twiname Youth and Junior Team Racing Championship at Oxford Sailing Club this weekend. News too from the Phantom class, RORC, GP14s, Sprint 15's, Garmin Hamble Winter Series, the RS500 Inlands, the RS Tera's and more.
