The TP52 World Championship is underway in Porto Cervo, its just one month to the start of the Transat Jacques Vabre, the Extreme 40s are gearing up for another round in Almeria, Spain and the Clipper Round the World Yachts are headed to Geraldton, Western Australia.
Sébastien Rogues, Eole Generation-GDF SUEZ, has won the first stage of the La Charente-Maritime/Bahia Transat 6.50 from Salvador de Bahia, to Brazil via Funchal, Madeira, Portugal in 8 days 20 hours 46 minutes and 43 seconds.
Francesco Bruni (ITA), Staffan Lindberg (FIN) and Jesper Radich (DEN, )Damien Iehl (FRA) and Mathieu Richard (FRA) all head their respective groups at the Qualifying rounds of the Argo Group Gold Cup in Bermuda, stage 7 of the World Match Racing Tour.
