The Heaven Can Wait regatta is only two weeks away. Entries are rolling in and the virtual race is on!!
Lead boat quarter way up the first virtual beat is Granny Jen, David Rowe's Hanse 375. If you are planning to get into this race, do it NOW, because there are already 22 boats on the course
This event is run by a very small team from the Heaven Can Wait Yacht Club and we are proud to be part of that, along with the Royal Motor Yacht Club Toronto and the Toronto Rotary Club.
The event is run on a very small torn off corner of an oily rag, because everything goes to charity. Our fund raising target is $40,000 this year for Mens Cancer Research and Marine Rescue Swansea and we expect to reach the 10% mark by the end of today. If you are not able to be on the water with us on October 1st, please support the boats entered. Last year we raised $42,000 and the average donation was $25 but we had 1,600 of them. Your support will be much appreciated!!
Long time supporter of Hamilton Island Race Week Jamie McPhail has posed some interesting questions about the Australian IRC Championships in an open letter today.
If you race in IRC Class, you do need to read.
We will be seeking responses from Yachting Australia and all and will follow up.
Sail-World has received its Olympics 2012 Media Accreditation and will be assembling its largest ever team in Weymouth next July. We are sure you will enjoy the ride.
Interesting to see the big response to the Women's only Laser Coaching Clinic being run by Laura Baldwin on Lake Macquarie this weekend. Ladies Gyms, Ladies Coaching...why not??
