Emirates Team NZ's 2011/12 Volvo Ocean Race campaign got it first European airing yesterday with a sail up the River Thames to London Bridge.
In this edition of Sail-World we have a gallery of images from the English tour, a route carved by a few previous Kiwi round the world campaigns.

In USA, Laurie Jury and the crew of Full Metal Jacket have won their second successive ISAF Level 2 Regatta - the Oakcliffe Invitational following on the back of their win in the Knickerbocker Cup last week.
Not having so good a time was the Waka Racing crew of Phil Robertson and friends competing in St Moritz Switzerland.

We have reports on the fortunes of both teams in this edition.
There has been some developments in the America's Cup World Series. Another team has capsized during training in Plymouth. Yep, we've go the photos of that, too.
And then there's the announcement of a new venue for the America's Cup World series - in fact this venue will also feature in 2013 - ahead of the 34th America's Cup. So far six of the 13 venues have been announced in the America's Cup World Series. As yet there is nothing pencilled in the DownUnder slot believed to be late January 2012, or maybe a year later.

Double Round the World race winner, Ross Field along with son Campbell, are on their delivery voyage in the two man Class 40, ahead of the start of the Global Ocean race. We have the second of their reports plus images in this edition.
The ante has increased between the America's Cup World Series and the rival Extreme Sailing Series with the announcement that tripe Olympic Gold medallist, Ben Ainslie (GBR) has joined the Extreme 40 circuit. With a bevy of other Olympic medallists, plus four past and present America's Cup teams, the Extreme 40's would look to have bragging rights.

The ACWS has pitched itself against several other key events when it starts on Saturday, and runs for a week. It will be interesting to see how it rates alongside the Extreme 40's, Audi MedCup, and the finals of the ISAF Nations Cup.
We've a couple of stories of interest around the Auckland International Boat Show which gets underway in just over a week in the Viaduct Harbour.
