On Friday, North Sails staged their Wind Warrior Regatta at the Viaduct Harbour, the event was well attended - with viewing room at a premium - once each race got underway.
It was also a great opportunity to see the latest developments in the Viaduct Harbour ahead of the Auckland International Boat Show which gets underway in two weeks on 15 September.

It is a stunning area - with the new Events Centre and connection bridge to Downtown Auckland - which as well as providing access, also provides an outstanding vantage point to view the action and marine scene.
We have a picture gallery of the North Sails Wind Warrior Regatta in this edition, along with some images of the Viaduct Harbour marine vista.

There's been a change in the age groups for the event as well - all designed to improve the event, and it's great to see the organisers ringing the new moves. Hopefully they will help pull more young sailors through to compete at the very top levels of New Zealand's most successful Olympic event - for men and women.
Many thanks to those who have contributed to this edition, particularly those using our online submission and image loading facility which can be accessed by clicking here
Good sailing!
