Sail-World New Zealand: 28 August 2011
 | | Region of Murcia Trophy day three - Audi MedCup Circuit 2011 © Ingrid Abery | Welcome to Sail-World.com's New Zealand newsletter for 28 August 2011
We continue with our round up of the sailing action from around the world in this edition of Sail-World.
Hamilton Island Race Week, is all over, we have reports on the regatta and plenty of images as well in this edition of Sail-World. We had a team in Hamilton Island who have been providing excellent coverage all week.
Catch the great gallery of images of the TP52 Hooligan, formerly Emirates Team NZ, which won the last two Audi MedCups.

In San Francisco, three New Zealand crews are competing in the 18ft Skiff International, which also concluded today. Best performed of the New Zealanders was Alex Vallings and friends aboard CT Sailbattens. We have reports from Rich Roberts and other correspondents in California.
The Half Ton Cup continues in Cowes. It's billed as a classic regatta, and that is what it is - no new boats - just a lot of boats from a bygone era, that have been refurbished and are now raced hard again by some very enthusiastic owners and crews - who are after some great keelboat racing without the expense of a new boat.

In Spain the Region of Murcia Trophy is well underway in the Audi MedCup TP52's. We have racing reports and images in this edition, plus there is a story with the live and replay player for the daily race action. As we write the live video is playing on another computer - and the organisers certainly have done a great job with the coverage.

We have also featured some advertisers newsletters in the edition of Sail-World - there's something interesting in all of them - and they're a great way of find out the latest products are on offer - and usually can be purchased online. Check out who is on the Kaenon sailing team - it's an impressive list.

A little late, but nevertheless an interesting read, is the report/review from Team Jolly (Olivia 'Polly' Powrie and Jo Aleh) who were expected to cream the fleet in the Womens 470 event at the Pre-Olympics, but instead finished fourth - thanks to an outstanding win in the final medal race. It could have been a lot worse.
