Sail-World New Zealand: 28 April 2011
 | | Sara Winther - Semaine Olympique Française 2011 Guillaume Durand - Copyright | Welcome to Sail-World.com's New Zealand newsletter for 28 April 2011
The America's Cup Race Management and Media Trials got off to a spectacular start on Tuesday with the capsize of Oracle Racing on Tuesday in strong winds off North head at the entrance to Auckland Harbour.
They became the third team to capsize an AC45, joining Artemis Racing and Emirates Team NZ.
We have images of the incident and a couple of videos, plus crew reaction.
Today trialling was suspended due to strong winds, however a Competitors Forum was held in Auckland with several teams attending in person and others by telephone. Later a Media Briefing was held in the ACRM base in Auckland - we have a report in this edition which will be accompanied by the video later Thursday evening.

In Hyeres, France, the NZL Sailing Team is competing in the fourth round of the ISAF World Cup. Each day has been very different, and no doubt the trend will continue for the rest of the series.
This has been a regatta of ups and downs for the NZL Sailing Team - there are some good performances on the leaderboard and others in individual races. Certainly there has been no shortage of New Zealand race winners. But medals are about being consistent as well as brilliant.
In this edition we have reports on the first three days, and will be carrying further reports each day on www.sail-world.com
