There's plenty of news here, but the most contentious item is probably the proposed changes to Laser Class rules. There are more Lasers sprinkled around the world than any other dinghy class, and whilst the changes for this well-loved Olympic class are subtle, they are far-reaching.

Add in SB3s racing in Singapore, the RHKYC's annual HKRNVR Pursuit Race, front line news from an explosion of entries for the next America's Cup and fast finishers in the Barcelona World Race, and there's plenty of reading material here.

42 Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofia Mapfre Finn class early lead to Scott

After winning both races Giles Scott (GBR) took the early lead. Other race wins went to Tapio Nirkko (FIN) and Pieter-Jan Postma (NED). The large entry meant that the fleet was split into two groups – yellow and blue. Top Russian sailor Eduard Skornyakov (RUS) had problems with halyard lock on his mast and had to stop just after start.... [more]

ISAF Sailing World Cup third event, the 42 Trofeo Princesa Sofia Mapfre is underway in Palma. The 2.4 paralympic fleet, sailing out of Calanova Yacht Club, was the first to complete two races.
