The big news is of course that Ben Ainslie and his TeamOrigin crew won the ISAF Match Racing World Championship and the Monsoon Cup, sailed in Terengganu, Malaysia.

Mathieu Richard looked the likely ISAF Match Racing World Champion going into the last event of the season. Both Richard and Ainslie made the quarter finals, with Ainslie defeating Richard and quashing his dream of winning the championship.
Jesper Radich and Bjorn Hansen battled in the Monsoon Cup Petite Final, with Radich the winner.

The Barcelona World Race skippers are assembling, or trying to, for the start of the race in three weeks. the Transat 6.50 has announced details of its 2011 edition and we have Global Ocean Race news.

America's Cup: AC45's joined at Warkworth

Ivor Wilkins from www.americascup.com revisited the Core Composites building facility in Warkworth 40 minutes drive north of Auckland, and found the first of the new AC45 one design class was being laid up in the female moulds. This boat is scheduled for launch at the end of next month, and will be owned by BMW Oracle as a spare boat for the America's Cup World Series.... [more]
