Right this way, ladies and gentlemen, up the gangway and be prepared for another unveiling of all the news that matters from all around the world.
First up, the Australian Offshore Superboat Championships have drawn to a close and what about young Tom Barry-Cotter?
With his Norwegian throttleman aboard the supercharged catamaran ‘Mustang', Tom has come from a seemingly impossible position to take his third successive national championship.

Plenty of offshore racing news from elsewhere, too, as well as the world's most famous water ski race, Sydney's iconic Bridge to Bridge.
Down Sydney way again, and Riviera owners have ‘gone black tie' and if that's not classy enough how about the stunning Italian creation, the Aqua Riva by Gucci?
Can't get any more class than that.
Colleague Jeni Bone introduces us to Sue Thomson, recently appointed general manager events and marketing, for the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
No doubt we'll be seeing more of Sue.

News from the US, where te Homeland Security Department, that their proposal that all small pleasure craft down the the smallest of tinnies would have to have a transponder, for security and survelliance purpose, a reaction to the bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen, could not work, because the Feds just did not have enough resources to watch every one...seems like that will be a victory for common scene.
Wearing a consumer hat, I've cast my mind back over the boat show scene. Do today's major boating exhibitions offer value for money? I think generally they do, but if you disagree or have any boat show comment you'd care to make, then you know where we are.
Just received more details on the death of one of Australia's powerboating personalities John Cross, whose Miscreant flipped after he crossed the finish line on Lake Mulwala yesterday. We will provide more details over the coming days.
