NZ industry up, Haines Group drops Nautiques, IBEX, Anapolis and more
What a silly I am. Thankfully, readers noticed. Of course our local shows are far from done for 2010 - with Melbourne Leisurefest coming up 30 Sept, Australia's third largest on-water show, Mandurah in WA counting down until its 8 October opening and the SA Boat, Fishing & 4WD Adventure Show on 15-17 October.
Plenty of other happenings around the place too, with launches, studies, business opportunities and Australian brands making their presence felt as far afield as Cannes, Monaco, Fort Lauderdale and Turkey!
The 29th Istanbul International Boat Show sounds like a great place to be, October 20-25. Turkey, according to those who have visited (and our own Nancy Knudsen who resides part of the year there) is an amazing fusion of east and west in one of the world's most ancient and impressive harbours, Marinturk Istanbul City Port. Read all about it here.
This week, as well as hopefully covering all the shows that are on the calendar, we have an exclusive interview with Peter Busfield head of New Zealand Marine. Peter divulges some 'state secrets' - plans for expansion in four key regions, promoting brand NZ to the world, weathering the GFC and their investment in the marine personnel of the future through an advanced and well supported training program.
Keep in touch with your news, views and observations. That's what we're here for!
