Korea Yacht & Boat news, AIMEX heads to Monaco, Rivergate expands
What a great time of year, the world over. As Europe and North America wind up a long summer of boating and shows, the southern hemisphere emerges from a relatively painless winter to enjoy some classic spring weather with loads of water activities on the horizon.
On the local calendar, only the Darwin Boat Show remains for 2010, so if you're up in the Top End, or keen to head up that way, check out the show, 4 and 5 Sept, for a vastly broader offering this year, taking in camping and 4WD as well.
Overseas, Cannes Yacht Show approaches, 8-13 Sept with all the colour and panoply of this festival city, over three impressive venues and representing most of the world's major brands in the lead up to Monaco the week after.
If you're headed to Monaco 22-25 September, you'll be in good company this year as AIMEX and SYBA lead a strong group of Australian businesses. The Kiwis too will be there in force, in their distinctive black and silver livery, flags flying along 'New Zealand Street' in the heart of the marina.
Then Fort Lauderdale, the 'yachting capital of the world', plays host to the 51st edition of the world's largest boat show, 28 October to 1 November at various venues around this marine, cultural and recreational hub.
This week we profile several of the major events coming up in Asia too, including Korea Yacht and Boat, the second Asia Superyacht Conference, and first news from the Australian Marina Industry Association relating to the 2010 Marina of the Year Awards.
