Our throttles are all ahead full at Powerboat-World this week, with all the news that matters from all corners of the world.
Next week, we'll be setting a course for the Queensland State Capital and the 50th Brisbane Boat Show.
On the lighter side, part of the fun of being boat owner is coming up with humorous, tricky names for the pride and joy and we've got some examples here sure to bring a smile to your face.
Plenty of news for race fans, too, with Luke Durman, the 2005 Class 1 Offshore Superboat Champion due to make a comeback to the sport after the birth of his first son, while in the USA Super Boat International is about to hit Florida's Space Coast at Cocoa Beach.
During the recent Sydney International Boat Show, awards were handed out to the latest graduates from the Marine Mechanics course at the Institute of TAFE (Technical and Further Education).
It would certainly appear that the marine engines of NSW boat owners are in very good hands indeed judging by the high standards achieved.
And Ken Evans, well-known industry identity and a former director of Mercury Marine shows us how to promote the boating industry as an interesting career option for youngsters.
Plenty more to keep your interest and stop by next week for a full report on the 50th Brisbane Boat Show - we'll be there with the proverbial bells on to bring you all the news from the capital where all reports suggest the Brisbane Convention Centre is a sell out.
Enjoy the read and don't forget, we update continually through the week.
