If my desk had throttles - they'd be wide open this week
What I'm saying is it has been a busy one (that's my story, anyway)..
A short week, due to last weekend's public holiday, and I have been wandering up and down the Queensland Gold Coast checking out the boating scene.
Hopefully, we've managed to emerge from the week with some good stories to keep you occupied.
On my 'appointed rounds' (makes me sound like a Specialist Journalist), I crossed paths with one of the eastern seaboard's best-known game boat skippers; like many of his colleagues he is preparing his boat for the forthcoming big game season on North Queensland waters.

Across the Pacific, way across, in fact, the American Super Boats are preparing to celebrate the July 4 weekend with a major meeting off the Sarasota coast, on the Gulf of Mexico.
Organisers are hoping the races will put a smile back on the faces of people affected by the dreadful gulf oil spill.
Last weekend saw the Queensland Ski Racing championships being staged on the Clarence River, just over the border in New South Wales.
We have a brief overview of the titles, which proved a huge success for the Queensland team of Noel Griffin (NGR), which eventually claimed 10 championships.
Abby Sunderland saved, what is it with these young ladies, Abby and Jessica Watson, that they want to go sailing off around the world?
Since Jessica returned, I am often asked would I do it (or attempt it)? My answer is a very definite NO!
I have done some oceanic boat deliveries, the longest, I think, three days. During those voyages I learned that long distance journeys by sea were not for me after experiencing what I thought were meaningful conversations with fibreglass bulkheads!

Abby Sunderland on board rescue vessel
