Our condolences this week to our New Zealand mates on the tragic loss of Stace Hopper, a well-known and adventurous young man who lost his life in an aviation accident. Stace and his family have been great supporters of powerboat racing and the family has thrown its support behind the Whitianga Festival of Speed.
On the home front, earlier this week I had the opportunity to inspect the latest range of aluminium boats from local manufacturer Stacer. To sum the range up in one word – outstanding.
We also exclusively reveal some exciting plans about to be undertaken by Andrew Short Marine, one of Australia's premiere marine dealerships now with Kylie Short at the helm and steering a course to further success.
While on Andrew Short Marine, I think the team and guests had a bit of fun last week when the dealership hosted its fifth Sea Ray Rendezvous on the picturesque waterways of Port Hacking, south of Sydney.
Back in Queensland, we're almost in count down mode towards the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and early reports indicate something of a boost in industry confidence.
Let's hope that proves to be the case.
Needless to say, right here on the Powerboat-World site is where you'll find all the news related to the Sanctuary Cove show.
It's also where you'll find out how to win a $300,000 prize.
How could you possibly not become a regular visitor to www.powerboat-world.com?
Stick with us, we'll certainly stick with you – keep on dropping by, we update the news as it happens.
