Editorial March 5, 2010.

It's time to again welcome all aboard for another interest-packed edition of Powerboat-World.

Plenty, we hope, to hold your interest this week.

Take Australia's ‘top gun' tunnel boat driver, Craig Bailey; after sustaining broken vertebrae in his spine due to his nasty accident at last year's Bundy Thunder, Craig has made the most successful of comeback to racing with his 11th victory in the Arch Spooner Gold Cup.

And as most of you would know, I returned recently from what has become almost an annual visit to the Miami International Boat Show.

While there I managed to take a look at a new marque destined to make an impact on the Australian market has it has worldwide; I refer to the superb range of vessels produced by the Turkish yard, Vicem Yachts.

Down south we have a preview of the forthcoming V8 jet boat series at Temora and over the weekend the Powerboat-World team will be attending the annual Rosehill Trailerboat Show in Sydney's west.

It's shaping up to be a highly successful outing for the more than 50 dealerships hosting exhibits.

We also raise our hat to Dr. Beth Fulton, of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO); Dr Fulton has been awarded a prestigious fellowship award to continue her valuable work on marine conservation.

Up in Hong Kong, that city's boat show has attracted 40-plus exhibitors, among them the top names in recreational boating.

And with our compliments, take a look at ‘Picnik' – it's a photo editing program that turns computer ‘morons' like me into skilled photo editors.

Enjoy the read, and make sure you're here regularly for all the updates; a full report on the Rosehill show next week plus a close-up look at what some believe will emerge as the world's fastest powerboat.
