Notable SCIBS launches, countdown to Sydney, Marinas 2009 wrap up
The sunshine has returned, thankfully, and while our calendars are relatively free of activity for a week or two, there is plenty of news out there. Firstly, the next few weeks will see MarineBusinessNews bringing you the best of SCIBS - new products, launches and some of the enterprising people that make our industry great.
This week, Relegen's baseLINE voyage management system, which is the civilian version of the company's naval software, and from the high-tech to the sublime, Relegen's latest restoration project, the Pacific Pearl, also on display at SCIBS to showcase the company's skills in refurb and restoration.
Also this week, some insight into the skills and temperament required to work onboard superyachts and cruise ships, as told by Crewbook director, Kate Crulci, whose own experiences over a decade in the business helped her formulate her company's approach to recruitment and attract clientele from all over the world.
There's loads more on our site and each day until next newsletter, we will be adding stories - news as it arises and features as fast as I can type them! In fact, the stats are in and we have brought you more than 1000 original stories this month, not to mention for advertisers, the big jump in readers to our websites with almost 144,000 unique visitors, and 305,500 visitors to Sail-World.com, Powerboat-World.com and MarineBusinessNews.com in May.
Amazing, compared to our print competitors and certainly their websites.
Keep in touch! Keep feeding through your news and opinions, good and bad, which I am grateful for!
