Taiwan brands boom, marine promises in Qld elections, Riviera layoffs

Wading through the multitude of news, releases and information sent from the four corners of the marine globe this week and there is more than enough to satisfy any old salt, or entrepreneur!

There are plenty of positive stories to balance up the inevitable lay offs, retrenchments and “belt tightening” articles that are par for the course at the moment, as well as loads of opportunities and business case studies from around the country and around the world.

At TetraMedia – publisher of Powerboat-World, Sail-World and MBN, we pride ourselves on analytical and newsworthy editorial. Testament to this is the volume of visitors to our sites and their feedback.

Powerboat-World is the largest online marine news publication in existence and launched in 1997. Sail-World.com arrived in 2000 and has been expanded to Sail-World NZ, Sail-World Asia, Sail-World USA, Sail-World UK and Sail-World Europe and Sail-World Australian Cruising and Sail-World Cruising (the world-wide edition)

Powerboat-world.com, with seasoned writer and expert Bob Wonders at the helm, now has weekly newsletter circulation of over 30,000 readers and at current growth rate will pass 40,000 in the next year.

The overall Powerboat-world.com monthly circulation (unique viewers) now exceeds 60,000 readers.

The new kids on the online block claim to be providing a genuine online news service, which is in just fact a few teasers for their print publications while we run up to 80 stories each day across a range of marine sites.

Feedback from readers indicates the sales teams from these websites have a habit of “talking up” the stats, but on closer inspection, advertisers say these sites lack any substance and online credibility compared to specialist dedicated online marine news sites like ours.

As journalists, that is all the motivation we need.

As advertisers, if you're not already marketing via TetraMedia sites, find out what you're missing and compare your current media schedule, reach and results with our stats.

Have a great week and visit frequently.
