Editorial, January 27 '08
It's a packed edition this week with news from around the world, around Australia and across the Tasman Sea.
Don't miss Phillip Hoskyn's great shots of what could have been a tragic start to the New Zealand Offshore titles – we also preview the Australian Offshore Superboat Championships as they make ready for the Victorian legs at Williamstown and Geelong.
Off Surfers Paradise there was a sight never before seen – eight luxury motor yachts worth more than $60 million taking a quiet cruise for a promotional photo shoot.
Also on the Gold Coast, anglers will be keen to check out the recent Riviera Light Tackle Tournament which was conducted last weekend.
There's big news now and big news happening for two of the Gold Coast's top boat builders; Maritimo has released the first photographs of its stylish Aegean 60 and for Mustang Marine this Friday can't come quick enough when the company will unveil its Sport Coupe'.
We also bring the latest news from the European UIM and P1 offshore action and reveal the calendar for the UIM Class 1 World Powerboat championships.
And how about those lucky people visiting the Melbourne International Boat and Lifestyle Show next week; one of them will win a three-day live aboard fishing charter angling the reefs and wrecks off Darwin aboard the 46' ‘Reefmaster.'
You know, I reckon I could handle that.
Oh well, maybe next year.
Meanwhile, enjoy Powerboat-World and drop by regularly for the latest news on the powerboat front.
