The Australian Sailing Team’s women’s Yngling team took the strong and blustery conditions on Sydney Harbour in their stride today as they competed in the International Yngling Division at Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta.
The trio, skipper Krystal Weir, Karyn Gojnich and Angela Farrell, exuded style and sophistication as they executed a clear strategy to take out pole position in their division winning both races comfortably.
The ladies, who are heading to the Beijing Games in August, have come to Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta straight from winning a silver medal at the Yngling World Championship in Miami, USA last week.
“The performance by this team today really exemplifies the fundamental connection between Audi and sailing,” said Joerg Hofmann, Managing Director Audi Australia.
“In addition to the outstanding sporting ability demonstrated by these athletes, their performance today was visually spectacular,” said Mr Hofmann.
Audi Australia is proud to support the Australian Sailing Team in their quest for Beijing.
