Yachting Australia High Performance review
by Courtesy Yachting Australia on 2 Oct 2004
As part of the Olympic four-year cycle, Yachting Australia is currently undertaking a review of the High Performance Programs.
The review of the National Olympic program began in mid-August, and the Paralympic program review will commence now that the Paralympic Games have concluded.
Surveys have been distributed to all program parties seeking feedback on a wide range of issues not just for 2004, but for the entire four year cycle (2001-04). The ISAF Youth Team review is conducted annually.
One-on-one meetings have been taking place with all Olympic Team coaching and support staff and have been offered to all Olympic Team athletes.
Preliminary feedback was presented to the Yachting Australia Board at their meeting on 26th September.
Yachting Australia is planning a full group debrief for all Olympic Team athletes in late October. The same process will be undertaken with the Paralympic program.
Final recommendations and outcomes will be presented to the Yachting Australia Board.
