Wright Athlete of the Year, Goodison back and much more

Ed Wright has taken the Athlete of the Year title at the Skandia Team GBR awards, with Lucy Macgregor and her team picking up the bonus award.

Paul Goodison is back in form and has taken the Laser Qualifiers at WPNSA and the West Kirby Youths have scored a Team Racing hat trick.

We have this week's dinghy news from the various classes.

Elsewhere the RC44 World Championship has just concluded in the Canary Islands, the TP52 circuit is set to have a new Russian Synergy next year and more speed records have tumbled in Namibia.

The Velux 5 Oceans is underway with the fleet leaving La Rochelle France on the Ultimate Solo Challenge. The Route du Rhum start is fast approaching and we have news from the Mini Barcelona and the Barcelona World Race.
