Volvo Ocean Race - Verdict incertain à quelques heures de l’arrivée

Volvo Ocean Race - A l’heure actuelle, Team Brunel est en tête avec une avance de près de 7 milles sur les Espagnols de MAPFRE et de 9 milles sur Dongfeng Race Team qui complète ce podium provisoire. Mais cette arrivée au petit matin risque d’être piégeuse avec des vents très faibles annoncés entre Lisbonne et Cascais qui pourraient changer la donne. « On peut tout attendre de l’arrivée à Lisbonne, y compris un nouveau départ dans la baie » annonce Charles Caudrelier. Derrière, Team Alvimedica et Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing auront du mal à revenir mais bataillent pour la quatrième place alors que Team SCA ferme la marche.

Ce qui se joue cette nuit sera crucial pour le reste de la Volvo Ocean Race. Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing, leader au classement général occupe une inhabituelle cinquième place. S’ils ne parviennent pas à reprendre l’avantage avant demain matin, Dongfeng Race Team aura encore tout le loisir de croire en une victoire au classement général.

Day 7 with ETNZ sailing Taihoro AC75 on the Hauraki Gulf Emirates Team New Zealand started the new week with a courageous display of heavy air sailing in their new AC75.
