Volvo Ocean Race - Júri internacional para analisar quatro casos

Depois de alegadas violações das regras durante a sétima perna da Volvo Ocean Race, foi anunciada, nesta terça-feira (26), a convocação de um júri internacional independente nomeado pela ISAF para ouvir quatro casos durante a parada de Lisboa.

O Team SCA deve responder por dois casos: que elas navegaram contra o fluxo em uma área de separação de tráfego (TSS), e, além disso, velejaram em uma zona proibida da regata, em Rhode Island Sound.

O Dongfeng e o MAPFRE também estão enfrentando protestos que eles navegavam contra o fluxo em uma TSS.

A Comissão de Regata trouxe todos os casos para o júri e o mesmo terá poder de decidir sobre a penalização mais adequada para as equipes.

Nenhuma data foi estabelecida para as audiências, embora os organizadores da regata pretendem resolver o assunto o mais rapidamente possível após a chegada da flotilha em Lisboa, prevista para quarta-feira (27).
