The NSW Police Marine Area Command has taken delivery of their three new Naiad 9.5m vessels, built by Naiad's east coast licensee, Yamba Welding and Engineering.
The boats are 9.5m stepped hull, with a hardtop cabin, forward racking windows and foam fenders. Twin 4 stroke 250hp motors power the craft with a top speed of 45 knots and range of up to 200 nautical miles.
High visibility has also been one of the upgrades with police repeating their safety messages regarding water safety.
In the YouTube video below NSW Police Deputy Commissioner Catherine Burn, supported by Marine Area Command and Acting Assistant Commissioner, Mark Hutchings briefed the media about their new fleet.
