Sat, 29 Dec 2012
With 56 confirmed entries for the Southern Diesel and Marine 40th Australian Tasar Titles, a great week of racing at Victor Harbor Yacht Club on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia is assured. The fleet has everything from World and National Champions from not only the Tasar fleet but also 505’s, Fireballs, Sydney 38 Nationals and even aspiring Olympians, this regatta will no doubt be closely contested. We are also pleased to welcome two international entrants from Seattle Yacht Club in the USA and French Bay Yacht Club in NZ.
The Tasar Association of South Australia (TASA) with the support of Victor Harbor Yacht Club has been focused on ensuring a great regatta for all competitors. Race Officer Robert Rogerson and Chairman of the Jury Simon Irving, have been working closely with the TASA to ensure that world class racing is provided to competitors.
Rob McMillan from NB Sailsports who is attending his first Tasar Nationals and sailing with his six year old son William says 'The Tasar has quickly become a favourite of the whole family'. NB Sailsports is also a Gold Sponsor of the event and we thank them for their support. A great week of racing and socialising awaits all competitors in the stunning SA town of Victor Harbor; where else would you rather be.
