US America's Cup Defender, Oracle Racing, have moved their wingsail from the construction facility in Core Builders Composites at Warkworth to the Port of Auckland ready for shipping to USA.

The hour long journey from the facility north of Auckland was completed about noon, local time.

Each team is allowed three wingsails per yacht, which are usually transported in sections due to their almost 40metre overall length.

Construction of the hulls of the teams AC72 class catamarans are taking place in USA, as required by the Protocol governing the event. The first AC72 is expected to be launched in July.

Two sections were caught by the Sail-World camera today as they passed over Auckland's Harbour Bridge en route to the port entrance.
