Paper Tiger International Championships - Shaw extends lead on Day 2

The Maersk Line Paper Tiger International Championships 2012 continued competitive racing today with another two races completed in cold conditions by Melbourne standards and 10-18kts of breeze for the day. Race 3 saw Dave Shaw of Nelson take another race in the event following a match racing at the head of the fleet with Australian Bryan Anderson. Race 4 saw Shaw take yet another race victory with after chasing day Scott Pedersen from Napier on the final beat. After the completion of today's racing Dave Shaw has the lead from Bryan Anderson and Bruce Rose (Australia). Bob Preston (Nelson) and Ian Marcovitch (Australia) round out the top five. Dylan Taylor (New Plymouth) is currently leading the Junior Competition in 27th overall. Competition for the International Teams Trophy is fierce, with Australia taking a 47 point after the second day of racing. New Zealand Paper Tiger Association website
