The Sailing Instructions for the 2011 Heaven Can Wait 24 hour yacht race, and the associated One Lap Dash have been released, and are now available on the event’s website at http://www.heavencanwait.com.au
The Heaven Can Wait Charity Yacht Race, to be held on Lake Macquarie this forthcoming long weekend (October 1-2, 2011) is a unique sailing race which raises funds for men's cancer research and support programs, as well as for Marine Rescue.
Now in its sixth year, the 24 hour race involves yachts sailing a course around the lake as many times as they can over 24 hours, while the One Lap Dash is a single-lap version of the same course.
The Sailing Instructions for both events outline the starting provisions, the courses, finishing requirements, along with communications and safety information.
They can be downloaded from the event's Documentation page at http://www.heavencanwait.com.au/index.cfm?EID=1073
If you are planning to sail in this event and have not yet entered, please do so as soon as possible, so you can raise money for charity and therefore receive heavily discounted entry.
