With just over a week to go until the first day of racing in Plymouth round of the America's Cup World Series, preparations are proceeding at pace.

Several teams are expected to take their first sail on Thursday 1 September, as they practice ahead of the first day of racing on September 10.

As yet a replacement skipper has not been named for Mitch Booth (AUS) who helmed in the first round in Cascais, Portugal, and then left the team in unexplained circumstances soon afterward.

Booth was today named as one of the commentary team for the Plymouth round of the America' Cup World Series.

The America's Cup World Series gets underway on 10th September and concludes on 18th September. It will follow a similar format to the first series in Portugal with fleet racing, a speed trial, match racing and a final fleet race.
