Hull & Humber, Durban 2010 and Beyond, Glasgow: Scotland with style Clipper and Nova Scotia are in the leading group as the Clipper fleet settle back into racing after leaving Fremantle. Jamaica lost several miles during the 12 hours to 06:00 GMT as they battled with a massive spinnaker wrap that occurred overnight. Skipper Simon Bradley explained the challenge they faced in his morning email to the Race Office. 'We've just finished clearing up the spinnaker wrap from hell. It's taken us 20 hours to get the spinnaker down from its wrap around the inner forestay. I've never seen a wrap like it in 80,000 miles of sailing. The whole crew have been involved in this interesting and challenging task.' The stopover in Fremantle was thoroughly appreciated by all of the crews taking part in Clipper 07-08. Martin Silk, skipper of westernaustralia2011.com says, 'The team are still in recovery from adrenalin overload following an exciting start to this leg; also a bit sad to be leaving after such a well hosted stopover and goodbyes to family and friends.' Marcus Cholerton-Brown, skipper of Qingdao who celebrated their first ever podium position in Fremantle says, 'Big thank you for all the friends and family who showed up to cheer us on and to Fremantle Sailing Club for being such great hosts.' The fleet is due to muster in Batam, Indonesia, on approximately 17 January, with a coordinated arrival at the new Marina at Keppel Bay in Singapore on Saturday 19 January.
