Napier SC celebrates ISAF Centenary on Saturday |
Napier Sailing Club, in Napier, New Zealand is celebrating the ISAF 100th birthday with a champagne breakfast and regatta on the morning of Saturday 1 September 2007. Breakfast will be served in the Clubhouse at 7:30am, to be followed by the briefing, with a race scheduled for all dinghy, trailer yacht and keelboat classes commencing at 10:00am (New Zealand Standard Time – 12 hours ahead of Universal Time). The Napier Sailing Club is one of the eastern-most in the world and this event will almost certainly be one of the first events held to celebrate the centenary of the ISAF. Founded in 1891, the Club is also one of the oldest yachting and boating clubs in New Zealand and this is certain to be another memorable event in the Club’s long history. For more information, please contact Lyle Tresadern, Manager of the Napier Sailing Club, or Paul Redman, who is on the organising committee for this event.
